Can someone provide me with pictures on how the hideaway headlight wires are routed in the engine compartment from the motor to the firewall?

Thanks,

Patrick

I don't have the facts, but I guess it runs allong the inner fender just like the forward harness runs and with it

I'm adding the option to my Charger. I really just need to see how it's routed around the doors that open and close without getting pinched, caught, twisted, etc...

It is part of the forward light harness it slits off just ahead of the radiator support and runs next to drivers side headlight to the backside of grill then over to the motor

So I'm using that diagram for the factory relay I'm using with my hideaway setup I added to my 71 Charger. I've got the green spliced into the green wire on the dimmer switch. When I connect the blue wire to a hot source my headlights come on, even if the switch if off, and the doors don't open. Not sure if it matters, but I did the relay conversion on my headlights.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Patrick

you have linked something wrong to the relay.

Remember 30 is the source and 86 ( or 85, can be reversed with ground ) is just the trigger, which is the headlight signal. Probably you are linking 30 with 87a ? that will make the headlights being turned on from an external source diff than the main switch with relay in rest position... or with 87 if is activated somehow

I'm using the factory breaker, relay and factoring wiring from the headlight motor. NOT using the BOSCH.

Here are a few photos of how mine is setup. It is a original option on this car. It starts on the drivers side wire loom and then I have a red line following the line in the photos. At the motor it has a red, blue and then a black wire. Not sure where the black wire grounds.
