71 Charger trunk light

I recently acquired a 71 Charger that has a older unfinished restoration. I noticed a rattle in the trunk lid and found that they had tucked the trunk light inside the inner and outer panels of the lid when they painted it. I think I have found the wire up by the spare where it connects for power but I do not see any switch in the trunk area to operate it. Does anyone know how to turn this light off and on? I found a wiring diagram and it looks to hook in to the dome light and then from their I lose where it ends up.

There is a mercury switch in the light. As the lid rises the light will turn on. As it closes the light shuts off.

Thanks - That is pretty cool! I am just finishing up rebuilding the carburetor so this light was on my list to look at an this info helps explain what is going on.
