71 GTX brakes locking

Rear brakes locking up and run hot. Didn't want to fry my rally wheels. I opened one rear bleeder and both unlocked. 11 inch 4 corner manual drum brakes. Master cylinder is what I think the issue is but what about the proportional valve? Any one encounter this.

had the same problem with my satellite the right rear would lock up and would always run hot. try the adjuster on the bottom between the brake shoes, fixed the problem for me.

Check that the master cylinder is completely returning.

You know that's never happened on any old car i've worked on. Your'e right that's what it was. All set and Thank's

every sticky brake I ever encountered was a result from an old brake hose ............. they allow fluid to pass under the pressure of the pedal. but not allow it to return ........ the inside swells up kinda like a clogged artery

And the pressure of the springs wont overcome the clogged artery to return. Got ya and thank's again.
