71 Roadrunner air grabber vacuum question

I have a 71 Roadrunner that I am restoring and I am adding a air grabber hood which was not stock. The engine is a 383 with a mid range cam with power brakes. Current set up coming from the intake manifold is a vacuum hose to power brakes, then vacuum hose to carb which is a Holly 780 dual pumper. My question to everyone is I understand the air grabber probably ties into the the same vacuum fitting going into the intake manifold, but what does that fitting look like and where can I get one?

Ebay. There are used,NOS, and repops available.

I have a six barrel car with the air grabber & power brakes. A fitting on the back of the manifold has one for the brake booster & a very small port for the air grabber. You can probably tap into any engine vacumm port for the grabber. Or look for a factory fitting. If you need a pix of it, let me know.

You can use a vacuum port on the carb for the air grabber. I use a vacuum canister connected off the carb vacuum port, have to use this because I have low engine vacuum. It works pretty well even at 8".

Thanks Chuck, if you have time I would love to see a picture so I can visually see what I need to look for. I was wondering if I could get away with splitting a line and feeding off of that but I do not know much about the air grabber system and was not sure that would work. Thanks again

I'll get you a pix tonite. But yes you can split a vacumm line.

Here is a pix of the fitting. Mine has power brakes, so the larger hose is for the brake booster. The small hose coming off the bottom is from a very small port that comes off the fitting also. I also know there are diaagrams of the air grabber hose routing available. If you can't find any, i have one i can email you. Just pm your email address to me.

Thanks guys. It appears I have the same vacuum plug and it must be a case in which I need to split the smaller hose and feed off of that line. Thanks for your help
