I've had the roadrunner for 3 yrs now. decided this winter to install new TCI trans and a gear vendors overdrive unit. Well you know how you loose all control, hey engine is out so valve job and re-gasket the engine, detail engine compartment. You get my drift. So my issue is the more I dug into the wiring harness the more I wondered why the car didn,t burn up. Can anyone recommend a replacement wiring harness that's simple to install. Car has a 440 and electronic ignition.

Either painless or Ron Francis are good ones and I know that painless is made for mopar Ron's I think don't quote me arent (haven't looked into them).

If it is stock, order the ones from M&H, available from Year One. There are several that go in the engine compartment, the engine harness, wiper harness, AC/Heater Harness, Forward Light harness, I don't believe they make the positive and negative battery cables or starter wires. I did all of my harnesses and the M&H ones are expensive, but top notch and should plug right into your existing bulk head on the fire wall. If you are not stock, I'm sure some folks here can recommend some alternatives.

You could do you own. I decided to throw an engine harness together that would run, start and charge the battery. Cost me about 20 bucks or so for all the wiring and connectors. I'm going to go with a Ron Francis kit when I go to wire my 71 Satellite complete and he does have them for mopars. I'm running a 383 with electronic ignition. IMHO I think the M&H harness are way over priced. They are good from what I've read and plug n play so it's and easy swap, so it comes down to paying over priced cost for conceive or a lot less for your time and labor. The m&h harnesses are like sub harnesses , one for headlights, one for engine etc. My harness is like yours I can't believe my car had not burned to the ground. I will be eliminating the bulkhead conectors completely. So good luck on your wiring.

thanks for all the info. FYI Went out to the shop to fire the old girl up and poof up in smoke.
So may my summer cruising is over for now. I'm thinking a total re-wire engine and dash.
