71 Super Bee Radiator Reconfiguration

The Glen-Ray radiator arrived today. Haven’t opened the box yet. I was looking at the alternator/water pump belt I got from NAPA and must say it is really bad.. Now I know why it was $5.50. No way I’m putting this belt on my car. It’s going back. It says “made in USA” on the belt, and it is the lowest quality belt I’ve ever seen in person. Where do you guys get “real” engine belts? The last belt I obtained was from Peter Bergman, for power steering, and it looked like a good belt to me.

I had Glen Ray go through the 22” radiator for my GTX. With a Hayden fan clutch, Mopar 216 fan and a factory shroud it maintains 180 degrees on even the hottest days.
After I install the new radiator, I’m hoping to be able to drive the car, at least 12 miles during the summer, without it overheating. I tried that last June with disastrous results when the ambient temperature was 100.

I went through all the receipts that came with the car when I bought it 5 years ago. It appears that the current radiator and water pump were installed in 1999. The radiator, an unmarked, reproduction 26” was bought new for a whopping $170.. The water pump cost $51. It’s hard to believe the radiator was that cheap, even in 1999.
