asked this in resto ,think it might be better asked here
the wipers in the 71 charger work but literally go bang, bang ,bang as the wipers make a sweep , I'm guessing its the bushes need replacing . i've bought some new ones online, does anybody have a "how to" for doing this ? pictures would be a great help .
thanks

so now the 71 SE has stopped parking the wipers under the edge of the hood they stop at the bottom of the windscreen. how do I fix this ? that's both chargers with wiper problems now :BangHead:

Sorry, I don't know how to help, but I want you to know I cared enough to say so.

Unfortunately you have to get under the dash and prob pull the cluster. They pop out pretty easy getting them in is sometimes a bitch though. Good time to change the pivot seals and also add grease fittings. The stop issue at least on my dart was grease on one of the electrical terminals inside the motor pretty easy to fix (usually) Take the cover off the motor and clean the terminals and re assemble. Should fix it. Hope this helps. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/wiper-seal.204882/

After I use my wipers, I have to push them back under the edge of the hood. Maybe this winter I'll take the motor out and put the NOS wiper motor repair kit I bought to use.

Check the arm coming off the wiper motor connecting to the wiper arms, you may have it upside down causing a elevation change and the rubbing of the arms.
