I'm looking for my original 340 block, number 189667

Where is the number located? Transmission as well? Just came in possession of a 340 and can check.

There is a flat surface just above where the oil pan bolts to. I think it's on the passenger side. on a auto trany it's just above the pan on the drivers and on the drivers side of a 4 spd.

Transmissions have a flat pad on the passenger side. Kim
