I am restoring a 72' Plymouth Satellite Sebring converting from original 2bbl to a 4bbl Edelbrock intake/carb. I have read previous posts and have tryed several options to get the throttle cable and kickdown to align properly. Unfortunately, no luck.
I purchased a 340 4bbl bracket from Classic Industries understanding that it would provide the proper alignment setup for my conversion. Unfortunately, the bracket had a different bolt pattern to the intake manifold. I then modified the original bracket by bending the throttle cable attach up moving it outboard for proper alignment. But, the kickdown looks to interfere with the modified attach point for operation.
Are there any other options I have over looked to get a good alignment of the throttle cable and kickdown rod in proper alignment and operation? Any time and considerations are appreciated.
