Hello, i recently bought a 72 roadrunner, got some ?'s Its a e68 big block car, but it has a 8.25 rearend in it, that seems wrong to me, the fender tag reads d34, torqueflight, dont see a mention of what rear should be there, any help greatly appreciated.

rearend

whats the vin on the car, could be a satellite with a 400 auto and 8.25

What is the rest of the VIN. D34 is a 904 transmission. Check both again closely.

I'm not n front of the vin, but I got a picture, with me, the tag is. Rm23p2g125936

P is a 400 4 bbl car but it should have an 8-3/4 rearend
Check the D34 again it should be D35. Also check the body codes and see if the vin is under the hood gasket on the cowl and on the core support.

Now im more confused, just got my new mcg, on page 63, there is a fender tag from a 72 440 six pack with d34

Then my parts book must be wrong D34 must be 727. Because I know that tag is right. And when I look up the code some say Light duty some say standard duty. Wierd.

That's Mopar,lol. I'm sure I need a 8.75 though not a 8.25

You definately need an 8-3/4. Where are you in indiana?

I am in Chicago but I have a trailer in Demotte at Lake Holiday

Probably not this year, that is my car in MCG this month
