OK...so I picked up a rebuilt torque converter for my sons project car. The catalog at the local parts store listed it for a 70 303. The box the converter is in says 1977 - 91 727 24 spline L/S. IS there a way I can tell visually if this is a lock up converter? and do you think the L/S would be low stall or ???

I guess the second part of the question is did they make a small diameter low stall converter. This one is the smaller 10 or 10.5 converter. quite a bit smaller in diameter than the original converter that was in the trans.
