I'm installing a tranny cooler for my small block 727. I'm going by the FSM, with fluid going to radiator first, then to aftermarket cooler, then back to trans. The book shows the pressure or hot line (the front port on the tranny) going to the drivers side port in the radiator. In my lines right now, the pressure is going to the passenger side port.
Does it matter which side of the radiator gets the hot line? (It has always run cool, at 175-200 max with my old tranny cooler, so I'm thinking it doesn't really matter). Or if I just keep pressure side on the right side and install return lines/cooler accordingly, is that OK? It would be much easier to flip tranny cooler to other side than to have to get all new tranny lines. Thanks

Just like you can hook up either line to the external cooler, it doesn't matter which way they hook to the radiator but yes keep the cooler in the oil return line to trans(after the radiator) for best results
