Making noise and the filter isn't restricted ? Unless the valve body is loose or damaged there won't be an in the car repair. I wouldn't waste time. The trans will need to be removed , disassembled, and inspected.

Its fixed and what a difference. Like a different car. Even seems fast for a 383 2 barrel single exhaust

My '70 Barracuda 383 2BBL also seemed pretty fast. The DP4B, 3310-1 Holley, 1 3/4" headers made it pretty fun. The limiting factor was the 12" torque converter. Never changed that. But the importance of a good performance torque converter has stuck with me.
