727 kickdown linkage on an Edelbrock intake

I am putting the 71 Satellite wagon together and need some information or advice as to how to rig in the kickdown linkage and bracket. With the Edelbrock intake the stock bracket does not mount (the intake runners are too high compared to the stock 2 barrel intake) and I haven't found a means of correcting this. I appreciate any help! Also by chance does anyone have a photo of the accessory bracket configuration? I seem to have lost my original shots...

Here are some old pics I have of my carb linkage with an Edelbrock Performer 750 and matching manifold. I hope it helps. I'd have to take an updated close-up pic of the linkage because I did away with some of the Mickey-mouse workarounds like those washers and extension piece I added.

AR Engineering is your friend. Can be had through Mancini and some others. One of the many things I need for the wagon. Along with the linkage for the kd. Don't like the Lokar setup on it. Same on the throttle.

I agree it's not cheap, but worth the price. Well designed and idiot proof to install and adjust.

1971 Kickdown Linkage is a one piece rod - The adjustment is made on the throttle bracket itself with a bolt

I have not found a taller throttle bracket for the 1971 Kickdown Linkage rod , say if your using your factory 1971 Kickdown rod on a Edelbrock RPM Intake Manifold

However

383-440
With the taller or wider runners on say a Dual Plane Weiand or Edelbrock Performer intake , you might have to grind a v or a spot on the factory throttle bracket itself so it clears the intake runner and will align with the intake manifold bolts - No big deal

Looking at your 318 throttle bracket itself for a 2 Barrel, you might have to find the correct 4 Barrel Version off a 340 - 360 motor from 1971 - 1974 , I would assume you would like to use that one piece Kickdown rod , but that length would probably change also going with a 4 Barrel
