727 or 46H

have a problem. I’m working on 2 projects. One is a 1952 Dodge pickup and the other is 1948 Plymouth 4 door sedan. The is what to use for a transmission. I have both big block and small block 727s and thinking about using a Gear Vender overdrive. I’m considering using a late model overdrive transmission 46H. Has anyone got any experience with Gear Vender overdrive units? Or how well the 46H holds up behind a 408 stroker?
