Hello everybody,
I am currently working on rebuilding my first 727 transmission for my 1966 Coronet and came across a head scratcher.
It’s a 1972 transmission and while cleaning parts I found one of the ports on the reaction shaft support appears to deadened. Tried blowing air through and seem to go nowhere. The other three ports are clear and air comes out all the holes I can see inside the support.
I was wondering if it was part of an older casting that was not needed in use in 1972.
