Whatever it takes, to make it work. Scrape the bushing if you 'need' to...just don't get heavy-handed with it.

with the proper installation tool and a new bushing you should be good to go
but check all your bushings, end plays, etc with a trial assembly

lol yea i didnt go crazy i went easy

i scraped some tested it, scraped tested it and finally got smooth operation.
