727 Tflight shift adjustment

I am also having a couple shift problems with my 727. This is behind a 440 6bbl in my 69RR. I have the kickdown linkage adjusted as shown, barely touching the linkage pin. The trans will shift from 1st to 2nd almost immediately after moving and into 3rd shortly after that, still at very low speed. It's not too much of an issue with 410 gears and 600lb ft of torque , but I would like to get it right. Also, I can shift from D down to 2 on the column shifter, but cannot shift any further than that. Park, R, N, and D work fine.

Adjust the slide tighter to the pin and test drive. It may need to be against spring pressure shift the way you like.

the “good” setup, like a BB. 2 different adjustment points, but also a lot of points that can wear. All need checked.
