727 tranny ?

ok i just put in this 727 push buttob tranny, was told it was good, but you know how that goes...its goes into rev, but not low or drive, if i rev it a little its does move in drive some i have re checked the cable adj and fluid level, any ideas before i take it out...

Drop the pan and check that the filter isn't all clogged up. And while you're under there, see if the bands are adjusted properly. Just a thought.

Also, while you have the pan off, make sure that the shift cable is adjusted properly.

took the valve body out to day was dirty and a few valves were sticky, dissambled it and cleaned it up, all parts working reinstalled it seem to work, goes into drive now and all gears,will let you know when i ddrive her.. thanks for all input....

well went to ck it out today saw some atf fluid on the ground... looks like its coming from the selector shaft seal in the tranny, anyony know the part # and if it can be replaced with the tranny in the car thanks
