Does anyone know the 727 Torqueflite shift specs? For instance I know in first gear the over running clutch holds, but not sure about the rear band. Then in second the kickdown band is applied but not sure about the clutches. Then in 3rd the front and rear clutch are applied, front band released, but what about the rear band? Any links are appreciated. Ty

This information is in all the service manuals. You can find one (maybe not exactly your car) here http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=109 The hydraulic diagrams are a little complicated, but if focus on the bands and solenoids, you can see what happens in each gear. Also, keep in mind transmissions can be modified, especially with respect to the rear band and whether it is applied in drive-first, manual low, or not at all, etc.

In short, here's a picture from the '66 Plymouth manual with that information.
