I have a 1973 Charger. I am looking to add a transmission cooler. Looking to get a male fitting that threads into the radiator with a barbed end on the other side. Does anyone know what the thread is on the lower two holes in the radiator?

Thanks!

Thinking it’s 1/4NPT..

I thought the flared lines were 5/16", but maybe they are 1/4" as stated above.

with stock trans find a 1/4 npt by 1/2 hose barb and run half inch oil proof hose up to a separate cooler
you can never get those stock coolers clean and they are very restrictive- but run one where it get's really cold
run a 1/2 in 1/2 out plate cooler
you can get one from a wrecked ford truck cheap
there is a good picture in the EMPI catalog online - Borg Warner Canada
now if trans is apart you can bore the cooler lines both in and out and then tap for at least 5/16 and usually 3/8 pipe
your cooler circuit needs to flow 1 quart in 20 seconds at idle in N or D (not park unless you have transgo kit or one that's infringed on Gill's patent (well it's expired anyway) 1/2 inch lines flow a lot more than 3/8 and factory went to 3/8 later ane 1/2 inch on the diesels for a good reason
going through the radiator cooler will increase your backpressure about 15 lbs (ok do it if you have to)
cheers
