I am looking for someone familiar with rebuilding a 727 transmission out of my cuda.

I bought all the parts etc and need someone who is expert in these older transmission rebuilds.

Looking in the NJ area zip 07726 and I am near Old Bridge Raceway Park (central NJ).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Ralph

sorry man im in colorado, i just got done rebuilding a 727 torque flight... if you have any questions and if i can give any help let me know

If you have all the parts why don't you do it yourself? It's really not that hard. Replace all the clutch-packs and check the clearances with feeler guages. An automatic is actually
easier to re-build than a four speed! Just buy a new convertor to finish it off. You never know if there are any metal chips floating around in an old one, and there's no way to
really flush them good enough. Good luck!

sorry rebuilding a trany not my thing but are starting to fins a couple of specialists in the area
will call soon and weed them out for a good one
Thanks to all

How do you know until you try? There not bad, 727's are easier than others because there really aren't any special tools needed just a good manual. The main things are cleanliness, stacking everything in order as it comes out and checking clearances. In all honesty I really enjoy them.

Thanks for the inpu but just do not have the time. Business is good this year.

Whoever you have so it, have them drill and tap the case for an access plug to get to the pressure regulator valve. This way, you can externally adjust it if you need to. Otherwise, you need to drop the pan and valve body to do it.

I do it to all the 727s I build.

727s are easy
I paid a lot of my bills in collage doing rebuilds most of the old 3 spds took about an hour to do once they hit the bench
