I’m looking at this 727 transmission to rebuild and install in my 63 polara.
It’s cabe operated, but I’m unsure if it is correct with park position.
Is there an easy way to tell if it’s a 63?

In that picture is a 62-64 core. It'll suit your needs as long as it's the correct bell housing for your engine. Big block or small block?

It’s a big block bell housing so I’m okay there. Just concerned that it my not have park like my 63 if it’s a 62.

It’s an hour and half drive, so trying to be sure before I go.

'62 C-Body transmission did not have PARK provision, because they still had E-brake drum on output shaft. '62 B-body transmission will have that separate little housing on the extension housing to accept PARK cable. See if the guy will send you a better picture of the end of the transmission; it should have a 4-bolt flange on it. Also a picture of the PARK cable housing.

There is no drum provision on the pictured trans. Does not appear to be a 62 C body.

Thanks for everyone’s help. Ran the numbers and picked it up. It’s a 64 and looks like a good builder.
