1973 Plymouth Roadrunner Matching numbers vehicle. This vehicle was made as a Richard Petty tribute car. It has a 340 motor and 727 Torqueflite Transmission. The 340 motor has just been magnafluxed for cracks and rebuilt with Keith Black performance pistons .30 over bore, edelbrock rpm performer heads, and a stage one performance cam. I also have a new dash, heater core and heater hoses. Holly 750 4 barrel carburetor. Also installed new brake pads and shoes. I also have the original J-code heads that will go with the vehicle. All lights and heater work. Asking price is $16,000 obo. I have started working on the interior and once I am finished the price will go up. Vehicle does have a clean title."Only method of payment accepted is cash maybe a wire transfer from your bank to mine. Absolutely no cashiers checks or certified checks and no paypal. The RM in the vin# code shows it is a real roadrunner model not a clone. Also just got all new door locks replaced. I have been asked for info on the rear end so here it is. Positive traction suregrip 8 3/4 -inch rear 489 case casting number on the case is #2881489. This 489 cases would be used in high-performance engines. It is getting harder to find a matching numbers Roadrunner with 340 motor and 727 transmission. This 1 of 4,428 and the last year the 340 motor was produced. This vehicle is located in Louisiana may be able to help with shipping if not far. The photo of the engine compartment is an old one heater hoses have been changed and a new hood insulator add. Will be ordering new black carpet next week.

hi and welcome to the site ,good luck with your sale :headbang:

Wasn't Petty running a dodge charger 1973-1975? The last year I have seen for Petty road runner was 1972 and that was a 1971 carry over.

Yes he ran roadrunners until I believe the middle of 72. Then ran 72 dodge chargers and picked up a new sponsorship with STP and changed the cars colors from Petty blue to the new STP orange/Petty blue paint scheme. He drove dodge chargers until 77.
