How are the mirror brackets attached to doors on 73 satellite.

There is a metal plate that mounts under the door shin.

It is attached with 2 plastic re-usable rivets.

No and I've never seen them before on anything.

You might try one of the repro places like megaparts or AB&E.

They might have mount kits for the mirrors the sell.

Check dantes mopar, he is literally over the bridge in Mullica.

Factory drawing...... but that might be for 1971's

That looks like E body (also 71 B and maybe 72) that uses a "nut-sert".

If the holes in your door look something like this.

Then just go to your local hardware store store and get these.

A couple of furniture nuts and stainless fender washers.
That's all I used to mount my mirrors.

The pic in post #10 about is for 70 E body. Some early 71B used the same expansion nut anchors. Later they have a metal plate that is held in place with a couple plastic rivets. My 71 RR built 10-70 had the plate.

Pic 13 already has the nut-serts installed.

I've had bad luck with those spinning in the sheet metal they're expanded into.

My guess is that's why the factory changed the design.

You could probably find something to use at Lowes in the plastic body fasteners bin on the nut and bolt aisle.
