74 Charger instrument light blue wire with tracer hanging loose: what's it for?

I looked under my dash today. I was not able figure out what this loose hanging instrument light (with light bulb 57) is for. Anyone?

I has two wires. 1 black and 1 blue with tracer.

That is for the Brake light just to the top right of the speedo.

Well thanks! Yes. tested it and boom! The red indicator lights up, but the light is not anywhere near the indicator. I lights up the whole area underneath the dash board. I suppose the socket should be put back into a hole behind the indicator?
