74 Charger SE B body Engines?

Right.....LA motor. Now you just need to find out if it's a teen or a 360. One question I have is why not just rebuild the engine you have instead of going through with a Magnum swap? By the time you buy the Magnum and spend money on doing the swap, you can probably have a good running rebuilt engine and not have to hassle with a swap.

VIN says you have a factory 360 4 barrel car.

That's somewhat rare.

Was that the block VIN or the car VIN (or both)?

I'll say "probably" on the tank.

74 tanks are available, but they're harder to find and $100 more than a 73 tank.

Yes. friend of mine down in PA did just that. 73 tank in a 74. Some mods necessary, there is no hump on the 73 either.
But it will work.
