I have a 1974 charger SE auto with AC, originally came with a 400, now putting in a 440. I bought it disassembled so not sure on parts... since i am missing most of the brackets, and pulleys etc, i decided to put in "The beast serpentine conversion" system.
1. Water pump housing - should this be drivers side lower hose/outlet? I've seen both... whats stock?
2. Water pump - Looking at aluminum, clockwise rotation i assume? concerned about the bearings and using a serpentine belt... any issues or recommendations?
3. Radiator - looking at champion 3 core 26" or 2 core 1 inch tubes 26", which would be best here? if i go with drivers side housing outlet the only one that has the correct hose locations would be one for a 1973, will i run into fitment issues?
4. Fan - whats the correct fan for this? i found an aluminum 6 blade 19 1/4 one, good enough?

thanks for the help.

I have the beast set up, but I modified to have the ac down low.

As far as water pump outlet stock big blocks from 73-74 have the outlet on the passenger side

Will you be able to still fit fan on front??(I’m looking at doing the same thing)

I had to make the bracket for the rear mounting of the compressor and used the fuel pump mounting location. I ended up ditching the mechanical fan cause I couldn’t keep low speed/idiling temperature below 215. So I went with electric dual fans from Derale, now all is good. Just play around with it, see what you like. You might come up with something better than I did.
