You weren't kidding with solid! Keep her going! you do have watchers aboard! I seen these last pictures yesterday i thought your phone would be charged by today LOL.. Just kidding keep us updated!
haha sorry i actually had to take it to verizon for a new charger (dont leave phone chargers in the shop, apperently mice like phone cargers as much as plymouth wiring lol), i have them on my photobucket account now, ill post them when i get home
i finally got all the wiring hooked in, i have a few ghosts to work out like shutting off the wiper blades and tracing out the ingition wire to the starter relay and the tail light sockets need re wired/ replaced. other than that the wiring is together amd working!
Well, Pick your year of car in the list and download each schematic A & B and save them, you never know when you may need them again. These should help you in tracing the wires down... When ya get home eh??? okie dokie... If your buddy finished that grill he was making and you have a picture, id still like to see it, i know you found the regular grill for your ride, but i cant help wondering what someone could do to customize his own for this particular year and you did sound kind of enthusiastic about the looks...
".LJ, my buddy, has started a custom grille to put in for now, and it looks really cool so far. its lookin kinda like a cross between a chevelle and a marrauder grille, hes using 1/4 inch rod for itand then some expanded grate in the back."
hey guys, iv got some pictures fo ya. ive been workin on it after school pretty much every day. we have completed most of the wiring, other than the climate controls (the controls themselves are broken up pretty bad) and the headlight switch is shot. i also got the interior in for the most part anyways.
I satrted to paint the door panels white, then ran out of paint for them lol, i akso got some of that generic black carpet from oreillys. it looks good but needs some padding
I also got the dash installed and the rear seat down too
i need a new dask pad for the car, this one is BAAAADDDLYY cracked, atleast it has a dash mat for it huh? lol
i also have a B&M Z-Gate shifter im gunna put in the car too to fill up our center consolei need to have Joe get a cable and mounting hardware for the cable because i dont think i have my 727/904 hardware anymore
i want to use woodgrain in the center console but like i said befor i have an excess of stainless steel around here, so im gunna cut out a chunk of that for it
Oh and ron, i havent relly been workin on the grille yet but i may do that today
ive just gotta show this off ( i havent been able too... this is the 460 in my truck and what i believe is my best motor yet ive built (from two 302s and a 350) it needs more attention lol
hey thanks ron! we actually got mmore done thisafternoon after the rain stopped
we finally got the intake on (the 4bbl)and an oil change.
Oh and also the stripes were only offered for like half a year or so in 74 in the sundance edition sattelite. im thinkin when we paint it we will do like a plum crazy purplewith the stripes in either flat white or flat black so lj will have his work cut out transferring the pattern over. i think he was gunna trace it to wax paper then use maskingh tape to make the stencils. the stripe kits are like 300 bones............and are only in yellow but the paint will leave it tottaly smooth....im also thinkin that the engine will be painted the plum purple engine color at oreillys.
Just a little suggestion but if your thinking now, or later on, it would be a good idea to take a lot of pictures at different angles of those stripes, one day you may want them... Try these guys, maybe they could help you in some way with this, ya never know, ive gotten things i was told no way, i always figure i can ask, there's a yes or no chance! Again Good luck to you, ill be watching.. Please keep us updated..
THE MONSTER LIVES!!!!!!!!!!! we got it runnin after a long night of tearing the intake off again and rebuilding the lifters (a few of them were siezed clakity clakity clak)...i got it together and started it, it ran funny and so i went to sleep then thismorning, i looked at the firing order and timing and tuning and other fun stuff.
annnyyyy whoo afer 5 hours of fine tuning testing and some coarse language i got it. the 750 holley on there is a little to big though. i drove it around the shop a few timespart throttle low throttle, mid throttle and fott through the floor throttle its got no stumble or hesitation
will post pics tonight
ohh and the motor looks like a "plum" its a clue kind of
I have a Sundance edition also. She needs a total resto, but right now funds are hard to come by. You can find the interior fabric for the Sundance at SMS interiors. I had the guy send me a fabric swatch and it's the perfect match. Mine is going to be restored original since not many of these were made and even few are around presently. So for now, I drive her around and get comments on how cool she is. I got mine in Cali in 2008, and it's been an AZ car since. The stripe package is available through Phoenix Graphix, but I'd have them send a pic of the package since I don't think they have the right trunk decal. Mine has Sundance written under the sun on the truck lid, and I've heard from people that the decal package doesn't have the sundance writing under the trunk decal. Good luck on your resto and it's awesome to see another Sundance running around.
ok so i havent posted in a while we are all out of school now and im workin full time as a sheet metal installer. joe sold the car to a buddy of ours who did nothing with it. thennnn i wanted it back bad enough to buy it back. took compression of the origional 318 and one cylinder was tottally dead so out came the little guy and i built a 360 and 727 for it. it isnt the most powerful engine ive ever run but it will do till i build my j-head block. ive been driving it all summer with that motor and it runs good! now im looking at tuning the suspension. pull the isolators out of the rear, maybe thicker spring packs, brakes, swaybars front and rear, thicker torsion bars, good alighnment, blah blah blah. i want it to corner awesome with a decent straight line capability, so well rounded handling.
paint is going to wait for a while im just going to focus on interior and drivability. its late and i dont feel like remembering how to upload pics tonight so ill talk to ya soon! ohh i also got an origional 74 RR hood for it too!!! thanks fort lookin!
