My wipers don't work on a 75 Cordoba I recently purchased. A little research . . ... and the wiper motor is not hooked up to the wiper pivot assemblies. I have found 2 bars that I believe are the missing pieces. Bought some bushings from ebay ...... but not sure which way this goes together.

I have a long straight bar that has an L stamped on one end and R stamped on the other. I am certain that this connects the passenger side (R) to the driver side (L). However; which post on the driver side does this bar attach to? Is it the one that points toward the firewall or the one that points toward the engine bay?

Also, the second rod I am sure goes from the wiper transmission to the driver side pivot. Not sure which end of the bar goes to the transmission and which end goes to the other post on the driver side wiper arm pivot.

What is the best way to put this all together? Looks like it all presses together but hard to get anything in there. Is it best to remove all the pieces, assemble them on a bench, then reinstall the assembly after it has been put back together?

Figured it out. Long straight arm did indeed go from right to left. On the Driver side, it attaches to the post on the side closest to the firewall.

Removing the spindles and the arm attached to the back of the wiper motor was the ticket. Assembled everything on the bench then put them back in the car. Works like a charm and didn't take very long once I figured out the plan of attack!

Having been there, done that, and got the hole in the T-shirt i should add... do yourself a favor and brush a little never-seize or silicone spray into the plastic bushings on the transmission arm. The problem i used to have was wear, leading to the ball popping out of the the plastic joint on the arm, which of course meant lack of wipage, particularly in the heaviest rain. :angry9: Embarrassment and drenching was the inevitable result. Happened on nearly every 'Doba i owned, and i've owned 7.

I just saw this, but I am glad you figured it out. I recently helped a friend with a 77 Charger SE and they are surprising similar to 3rd gen B body's. As far as which is which, always remember with Chrysler, even number is right, odd is left.
I have the Mitchell crash manuals on my site, feel free to download. While they won't help in this situation, they may some other time.

Murray Park is selling wiper bushing replacements now. They're on Ebay. If I find the link, I'll post it.
