This might be a dumb question but what parts (interior/suspension/drivetrain/rear end/exhaust) are interchangable between the 71-74 b bodies and the 75 b body road runner. I am looking at the possibility of getting a 75 small block road runner and might want to upgrade to big block. Thanks for any and all replies.

I don't think there's much interchanging there. I've been hunting 71-74 parts for the past four months and I see 71-72, 73-74, 71-74, but never a 75 in the applicability listings.

I can't verify this beyond a shadow of a doubt, but I believe the bucket & bench seats should interchange. That's probably about it from the interior, maybe carpet? Why do I believe this?... I've had my 72 sebring plus for about 15 years now, and when I bought the car it had a seat cover option that I had never seen before. It wasn't until I saw an older issue of Mopar Muscle featuring a 1975 roadrunner that I realized it's bucket seats matched mine. I think it was a package closely resembling the "Sundance" package from the 74 satellites. One of the previous owners of this car was a multi-mopar project guy, and I suspect he took out the original white bucket seats from mine for another project car and replaced them with the ones you see below. I replaced the white door panels with black ones years ago but I've already got some white 71-72 vinyl seat covers to recover these with... then I'll dye the door panels white. Below is a pic of the 75 sales brochure as well as a pic of my current interior (rather dirty I might add). Either way, the seats fit in mine. Hope this helps! Maybe someone else can chime in if I'm wrong.

i have a 77 charger. parts that will "work", and not limited to... rear axles, lower control arms, torsion bars, engines/trans/driveshafts(given the correct mounts and combos) trans mount, all brake system hardware, radiators, steering column and box, bucket or bench seats , incidently, the carpet for 75 and up B Bodies are exactly the same for 71-74. as is the windshield and cowl chrome trim. im not sure if the 73 and 74 spool mount k member is going to be the same for a 75+ b body. the 75 and up body went to an isolated k member , im not sure if the same applied for the 73 and 74. in 75 they also went to isolated leaf springs(basically the spring mount location is wrapped in rubber with steel plates) the axles are the same and leaf springs may be the same or close, all youd have to do is measure them.a lot of the 71+ mechanical parts are going to work.hell you can mount a 71 b body console and shifter with all the hardware directly in place of a 77 charger console. all the bracketry and linkages are identical (904) minus the console housing itself.the gas pedal and brake pedals are the same. wiper motor there is a lot in common

after taking my backseat out of my charger, i would bet 10-1 that it is the same frame as any 71-74 B Body. even my shifter handle and knob are the same as a 73-74

you are correct on many things EXCEPT, the isolated k-member started in 1973 as well as the isolated leaf springs and are the same on all b bodies up to 1978. 71/72 b bodies (underpinnings) have less in come with the 73/74 b bodies (underpinnings) than a 73/74 would with a 75+. Brake hardware is different between 72 and below and 73 and up as the brake caliper mounts in different positions as well as 73 and up having either the pin type or slider brake caliper. 72 and below only had pin type calipers.
The undercarriage, drivetrain, and suspension are the same for all 73+ b bodies.
.

I have a black carpet set that is NEW for a bench seat 4 speed. The tag clearly reads 71-78 B body. So I guess carpet will work for a 2 door anyway. Still looking to sell it ,by the way...
Godspeed,
JON
