If I remember correctly, only 71-74 B-body axles are the same dimensions as yours and will bolt up to your existing springs, shocks, etc. without any major modifications. 73-up used isolators between the spring and the mount, so you may have to use your existing shock mounts with a 73 or 74 axles. From a website I found:
67 - 72 A body 43.02" spring mount center to center, 55.60" width flange to flange.
62 - 70 B body 44.00" 59.20"
71 - 74 B body 47.30" 62.00"
71 - 74 B body Station Wagon 47.3" 63.4"
A 9.75 is a Dana 60 and will handle pretty much anything you can throw at it. But be it an 8.25, 8.75, or 9.75 you will need to get the proper width, with proper width on the perches and and ANGLE on the perches for your car.
Nothing else is gonna drop in. Get the right thing
