More info on this thread.... http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/showthread.php?t=10836

Axles vary a bit even out of the same car line. Tolerance wasn't held that close but I've found the 66-67's run around 5/8 to 3/4" narrower than the 68-70's and right now I have an A body housing that I'm working on, and it's 52 5/8", housing flange to flange. Most I measure are 52 and change and they all vary a little with this one being the longest to date.

my 72 a body rear is 2 inches narrower than my 66 b rear

thanx i am working on 69 road runner i want to install a little narrower rear end without custom making one or tubbing thats why 65-67 it will narrow close to 2 plus in. from what i am here from you guys

Yup.....should be closer to 2 1/2" shorter....but the spring pad width are not very much different.
