833 crossmember

Can a 727 crossmember be uses in place of the one for a 833 on a 66b body? What mods would I need to make to get it to work?

The 727 cross member has the outboard bracket that the tranny mount drops into because the mount location on the auto is farther back than the 833. If you look at the main cross member structure you should see the same holes that are on the outboard part, so yes, if you cut off the bracket for the 727 mount it's the same cross member.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. This change over is getting expensive and any money i can save is good.
