Does Holley have have replacement for the 850 Thermoquad? I like the ease of tuning a holley. I'd like a small primary 850 CFM vac secondary. Anyone tried the Speed Demon 850?

While not specifically a Thermoquad replacement, Holley did make Quadrajet replacements with similar little/big throttle plates. List 6263 flowed 750cfm. while the 4175 is smaller at 650cfm.

Then again, you could always use the Rochester Quadrajet yourself, like Chrysler did after the Thermoquad stopped being used after 1984.

Chevy parts, really? You just made me cringe! I'd like to have 850 CFM anyway.

I'll take the TQ over the Holley any day however I've never tried a Speed Demon carb but the Holley spread bores of years ago never worked for me. So far, TQ's have been the best I've ever used on the street. They are not hard to tune once you understand them plus having the little tool to set the secondary air door sure helps a ton!

Cranky can you shed more light on the TQ? What are you using it on & size, mods? Is there a shop that specializes in them?
