850dp big enough?

I am using this 850 DP on my 493. Seems to work good as it has great driveability with it. But I want to try a bigger carb as I think it will go faster with more carb. But the 850 will work nice on your combo for the street. I would just try the other carb at the track one day and see how it performs on your combo. Ron

Great numbers,,,,, and a standard stroke to boot!!!!
That's what I'm talkin bout!!! Lol!
I have an 850 on mine, but it seems like it wants more....
My build seems similar to yours,,,, Victor heads, 590 lift solid cam, 1.6 rockers, standard stroke, Victor intake....

When I first built my 493 it was going to be 90% drag car and I put an M-1 single plane with a 1050 Dominator on it. I ran like a beast but there was a soft spot in the mid range.
Plans changed and then it's 90% street car now with a Performer RPM and a Quick-Fuel 1050 CFM 4150 style carb. It still runs like a beast but there is no soft spot in the middle anymore. It pulls like a freight train through all 5 gears with a dual plane with a "big" 4150 carb.

I have a Performer RPM on my 493 stroked 440 and it has great street manners, now if I can get it from fuel starvation and get some traction all will be well.
