90 minutes of my life wasted

I guess I didn't know they still have music awards and movie awards. I didn't know they make music worth listening to anymore. Oh no! I sound like my father did back in the 1960s!:BangHead:

I really don't understand what has happened to the music industry. There is very little coming out that is interesting or listenable.

My wife wanted to watch the Grammys last night, Sunday is a poor night for television, so I gave in. I knew I would be on FBBO and youtube anyway. My wife can put up with modern music more than I can, but after 90 minutes of the bad music and the terrible humor of Trevor Noah, she had enough. Every time I hear him, he is bad mouthing the USA. I think he needs to go back to South Africa if he thinks it is so bad here.
Just had to vent!
It's my observation every generation fails to see the merits of the upcoming generation, and if things have degraded as much as alleged for each of the past generations, we should be currently living in caves fearing saber tooth tigers while sleeping.
Don't fret, it's what old folks have done for eons, it will be over soon. :praying:

It's no longer about art or passion or a dream, it's all about the money, man, you dig?

In all fairness to my dad who grew up liking the Big Band era of music, he surprised me one day in 1971/72 when he asked me about a song on the radio I was listening to. I was listening to Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love". He said he liked it. He was in his 40s. Shocked me. BTW, he really liked Elvis. I have listened to some modern music. I can handle some of it except for rap music.

When Jethro Tull won best metal album, the grammy's were dead. LOL
I agree that the Metal category is not a good description for their music but I do enjoy a little or lot of Tull right after I get a ear full of Steppenwolf who are not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Award’s shows are just more bluster and they can make their cake and eat it too. Don’t get me started on the Great Ron Santo, 3rd Baseman for the Chicago Cubs, who they waited for him to die before electing him into a hall of fame….and what a fun sportscaster he became to entertain the radio listeners. He had a heart! These shows are dead to me!
Where’s my coffee, I need to chill.

That’s funny as all get out!

I think he needs his little *** kicked ,and then ignored for the stupid bastard he is !!
I never listen to anything about him or anything his dumb *** says , after hearing him one time ...

Never watched it once and no one in our household could give a **** about a bunch of elitists patting themselves on the back. Thankfully all that stuff is becoming meaningless as you can see by the drop in viewership yearly. Decades ago it actually meant something. Woke turns everything to ****.

Find a song that is heavier than Locomotive Breath!

Good song, I like plenty of Tull and grew up with it as you did.

Heavy? As in hard rock/metal. Nope, never even considered them as such. These bands, yes.... Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Megadeth, Slayer, Testament, Dio, Pantera, Metal Church. JMO Tull more Who, than heavy. Who, great music, not heavy as a comparison. Good R&R genre, yes!

Try "5 minutes alone" from Pantera; Seasons in the Abyss, Slayer; Souls of Black, Testament, for something that got on the radio that is heavy.
Different musical taste is all good here.

Grammys suck... Along with most of the other circle jerk awards stuff. Same as the R&R HOF...
