I am aware of all the balancing issues and length differences between the two trannys.
Currently have a 904 (original to car) behind a 360(swapped). I have a new 727 going in but I was wondering if a drive shaft from a big block Road Runner/Satellite would work.
Any one know what years driveshafts work for a 73 Road Runner with a 727?

I could have one made but if I could find a boneyard one and put u-joints in that is a better option at this point.

you will need to get the driveshaft sized for the appropriate length. you can do this by taking your current driveshaft in to a reputable shop and have them size it exactly 4 1/8" shorter, then have them rebalance the shaft.

this is so much easier than finding a new driveshaft and hoping the length is correct, let alone one that has lost its balance weights or is tweaked or bent and is not noticeable from the naked eye.

Another plus to this is that you will maintain ur current u-joint size and not have to worry about paying for more expensive combination u joints.

doing this will just insure that you have a driveshaft that you know is trustworthy and free of any issues. insurance is really the name of the game here.
