if I were to swap them out for some Edelbrocks how much compression would I loose? Let's say I start with 10:1

you'd loose about .5 point in compression but may increase your chances of detonation due to going to a non-quench.

Very Slight chance maybe especially with the 84cc chambers, but they will flow so damn much better than the stock cast iron heads....

Right, maybe I'm better off freshening up the 915's. There's another engine in the works anyway.

Yes, about a half point on a 440.

The open chamber heads still have quench but just not as much as the OEM closed chamber. Edelbrock heads also have a closed chamber but the CC's are roughly equal to the 906 head. This was probably done to maintain the factory compression ratio for a true bolt on performance solution.

Swap them out for which Edelbrock head?
