After being ripped off 2 or 3 times before, once taking 90 head of cattle, a TV some cash & tearing a phone out of the wall, maybe even the same people, this time he was ready... 92 y/o sat & waited in his chair, after 3 youths breaking in to his home, he shoots & kills, the 1st one thru the basement door, with a .22ca rifle, I say "good for him", he has the right to protect himself & his property, I'm sure they weren't going to just leave the old guy alone, "3 youths against an 92 y/o man", they loose & unfortunately he had to take a life to do so... If more people acted like that, the troubled youth & dirt-bags may think twice, before trying to rip off old people & especially that old farmer/rancher, he shoots to kill... The police will always take your guns when you are involved in a shooting incident and keep them while the investigation is ongoing. That is why you always want to have more than one weapon, that way your not left defenseless when the family/friends of the person you just killed show up on your doorstep.

The truly sad part is that the family of the person he just killed will probably sue him in civil court for wrongful death.

Unfortunately in CA you are not allowed to use deadly force to protect your home or property only your life and the life of your friends or family.

Yep, cant just have one weapon around! I don't blame a guy for protecting his home, family or goods and whats worse is when you get into trouble doing it. We have the right to bare arms and as far as im concerned every right to protect my family and belongings..
