A Body life

You have a nice looking 65!
A neighbor gal owned our 65. She would pick 3 of us up on Wednesday night for church youth group in the mid 80s. She first had a '57 studebaker president, it died and then she got the 65 Dart. It had a 225 2 barrel, but she had a lead foot. Going to town there was a detour and we had to go over a sh#tty banister bridge and she would hit it as fast as she could so we would catch a little air, then open it up and I think we got up to 96.Lol. Pretty exciting stuff for 13-14 year olds.:) Funny the speedometer never worked when we later owned it. The tiny drum brakes eventually got her into trouble and she plowed into another car.Lol
We bought it a few years later wrecked without a motor. Everyone remembers it because it would lay one wheel wonders. So my buddies would pick up the left corner of the car to get both tires spinning. It would go till it floated the valves and smoke both tires through first and then lay some rubber in 2nd. Cheap fun. We never could blow it up, wasnt a lack of trying.Lol
In 1996 My Dad even drove it to the drag strip and raced it at the Kansas City 170 miles from home. I think his best was a 15.4@90. I found a ticket from a slower pass this week in the glove box, also the owners manual and a scale ticket when we weighed it!

I have 2. Dang, I will need to sell one if I get that 64 500 I have my eye on. I hate to, but the 66 will get sold. My knees don't like the 4 speed much any more.

They're good cars I really like them with a 340, 4 speed and 3.91s it's just a combo that works.
