Finally finished my air conditioner compressor it took me a fair while only because i got carried away but what a great way to learn how these units work as i had no idea about A/C prior to building this system i've built everything from the under dash box to the compressor.(warning)Evil bay is shocking once you start, i couldn't stop buying genuine nos parts the only remaining original components are the block, head caps , front crank retainer & bolts every thing else is pretty much NOS. The list is new crank ,new thrust washer, new oil pressure ball & spring ,new head gaskets & seals, new pistons, new reed plates, new oil pump, new sump ,new R134a o ring seals, new suction filter, new crank seals, new adjustable PRV valve, new tag ,new bearings, new clutch field coil The unit was pulled down cleaned then coated in a high temp clear i know it's not factory but i liked it that way sort of shows it off better than a black block of steel. The unit was put together using Ester 100 oil so i can go either way with the gas R12 or the newer R134a. The unit should blow cold air for another 50 years

Is this for a 69/70 unit? It looks great ! The V2 compressor is a hoss of a unit and nearly bullet proof . I had mine done but used oem parts, by a older gent by me.

I have one needing rebuilt. Where can Inget the parts. Tried to send it off a year to a shop to rebuild but was told parts are not available. TIA

There is a place in Florida that rebuilds the V2 compressors.. I bought several old NOS deal kits and a couple new ones and found an old old shop in my area to rebuild mine. Don’t touch the front seal with your fingers the oil in your fingers will ruin the seal if you tackle it yourself. Always make sure the seal kits are sealed too!

Ebay for most nos parts as they don't reproduce parts but the seals & bearings are made new

There are new seal kits on the market but I don’t recall what is all in them. Four seasons or some one had them I bought two in addition to my stash. Original air group looks to rebuild them and have parts.

Could not get a response from them but will try again.
