A Few Model Kits

...so at an average of $30 each...I lost count after about $5000 worth, and some are MUCH more valuable.

I noticed that he had more than 2 or 3 of the same models. Did he just lose track of what he already had or did he think they had more value? I noticed a General Lee Charger at Walmart the other day, believe it or not but the confederate flag is not on the model anymore. Just the 01 on the door. I guess it the Politically Correct Police at it again.

Hey Reggie, I can not answer why he has collected so many of these things any easier than I can answer why I have collected so many real cars. to find out that answer you should just take a ride over to his place and talk with him. He has those flag decals you mentioned here. I am not saying everything he has is rare but I did see car kits like the ones I had when I was about 10 years old and 55 years later the boxes they are in are in great shape. I also want everyone to know I don't know ANYTHING about model toy values only real cars. My youngest son will be 30 next week and we haven't bought any models in well over 15 years. I don't even know what they cost at Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart doesn't sell them anymore. At least not the ones I have stopped in at.

I am interested in purchasing. How would i go about it?

I saw a 1984-86 dodge daytona id like. Also would be interested in any imperials if he has any. so hard to see most of them.

PM me.

A friend of mine has a similar collection with multiples of many of them. He goes to model car shows/swap meets, so that's why the multiples. He's a car guy, too, but he doesn't have any old cars anymore.

I always wanted a fleet of cop cars, with different numbers and slightly different options.

Also how do you choose between all the cool colors and stripe packages??? Just build one of each!

Interestingly, my local wal-mart just resumed selling plastic models after about a 3 year gap.

Wow looks like I am not the only one who builds models, I used to have a collection that covered an entire room in my house and shed. Sadly I sold everything but a few of the early 1970s amt show cars that I had grown attached to, obviously to fund my full size hobby of course. I must say that when I got into models, I never expected to spend the money that I wound up spending on a few kits
