Just got home this morning from 4 days of car overload.....the biggest crowd and number of cars since it started. There was so much to see and do, that we couldn't do justice here with a few feeble photos. So here are just a few selected shots;

Our crew.....

At the Friday Beach Parade - called the thunder cruise.....probably 2,000 cars rumbling (crawling) approx 10 miles to park up for an afternoon....

Yellow Superbee is owned by local hero racing Driver, Greg Murphy (New Zealand's answer to Jeff Gordon). That's Greg above signing posters in the tent. He also has a project '69 Dodge Charger on the boil, and is set to become an eye catching piece when finished. As we pulled up to start this cruise, he made a 'beeline' for my car to check it out. I was blown away by his praise of the car....casual as and had a good chat with him and my buddy in his Falcon GT.

That's me in the black shorts :laughing8:

Another old friend called in last night with his '68 Charger (Bullitt tribute car) and we had a catch-up....

more pics later when I set 'em up.

Cool pics Kiwi, and great to see Greg Murphy. You must have been buzzing to have him praise your car. Wish I could have been there, looks like an awesome weekend.

Ahh, good to see some Aussie cars mate. That Falcon is not really a PHASE is it? I see the plate says PHASE 4, (which was never made..) So I am guessing it is just a 'wannabe'?

Some nice Mopars down there.

Sorry to disappoint you...it is absolutely genuine, and has been authenticated by Ford Australia. It took a while, but the proof is in the safe hands of a very happy owner. NZ Certification plates have been remade to reflect this - not an easy task with the Govt A-Holes that run the system here.

.....on with the show....

I'm sorry to doubt...

Since the Phase IV was never released. And only 4 are known to exist. 3 of them were racing cars, and only ONE made it through production. That would make that particular the one that made it through. Sorry but I don't buy it..There are now only THREE in existence..and they are ALL the ones made for production car racing. No one knows what happened to that 4th one that made it through regular vehicle production.

I have to add..IF that IS that missing car, it should be in a museum! It is priceless.

Thanks for those pics!

Very cool show & photos

Cools photos KiwiGTX thanks for sharing, love that yellow COE Hauler among many others too...

Awesome and great pictures taking skill Kiwi .. thanks for sharing. I appreciate the pics of the campers too. Someone has a really cool thread going over on FCBO of campers and housecars etc.

Cool pics kiwi. Thanks man. Love the blonde in the blue dress and stripy socks, damn fine.

Great photos! Looks like a really cool time at a relaxed venue. I dig the cars parked on the lawn by the ocean and the shots of you and your buddies all parked alongside the house. I've just added this event to my to-do list. I've been wanting to visit New Zealand for the longest time.

Where did you get that Plymouth Racing Division sticker in the back window of your purple car? I want one.

Thanks for sharing. Great photos and looks like a really cool place to hold a car show.

After discussing at length with my friend about his car, I have to concede I was wrong. :icon_redface:

It is just a fun plate for the PHASE4, however, the car is still very rare as being a real GT351 with 4spd and it has been owned by the previous guy for 35 years. It was painted approx 30 years ago by the same guy who painted my car - something to look forward to ....and has only had a minor touch-up and serious buff since then. Only around 1800 of these were made, and only a few real survivors exist here in NZ today. Although it has been said that there are now more than 10 times the actual number ever built driving around as supposed real cars.

I might post some more pics of this car as it really is clean and straight....probably the best FORD I've ever seen for it's age.

Mate, I will post a link to the blue HEMI car soon, as it has been featured in a glossy magazine here, and I will check the orange car....it must have been featured at some point. As for the young lady in the stripes....she moved so fast I couldn't catch her frontal features :icon_winkle: ......if only I could share my mind's memory of that minute with you....LOL

That sticker has been on the car since around 1972, and I honestly don't believe they are available any more. It was suggested by MrSpeedFreak that I get it reproduced somehow.

Article about the blue HEMI car - only one pic but some good reading.
