YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT....The guys in the other lanes are Camaros, Chevy II's, Mustangs, etc.Yeah, four tenths tree's are tough. If the guy in the other lane weighs 1000-1200 lbs less than you, with big tires and a brake, well.....
They probably wanted to avoid red lights, when they decided on a four tenths tree.
I have a good friend who has a 3300lb 1968 RoadRunner who runs the Pro Tree class that I am talking about. His car is backhalfed, Ladder Bars, 14" wide slicks and sets his transbrake chip at 5000rpm. He cuts .020 to 030 .400 Pro Tree Lights and is competitive.
