Playing with inputs on the Wallace calculator.......
In order for a 9.4:1 440 to show 175psi cranking compression requires an IVC point of about 45ABDC.
Which is about what you’d get with a 268 cam....... that was advanced about a tooth off.
I’d be verifying the 175psi results with a different gauge.
Of course if the lifters are basically collapsed for the test, the numbers will be higher.
(Another reason to stay away from hyd cams)
