From what I've been told about how the A-100 came about. Ford came out with the E-line back in 62. The big boys at Mopar bought 4 of them and gave them to the drafters, engineers, techs, etc. and told them to come up with and build something better. Supposedly, they stripped them to nothing and studied every corner of them till there was nothing left. You see/know what happened in 64 with the new A series truck line. I'm not going to argue that story as both the E-line and Dodge A line of trucks looks awfully similar in a lot of ways. So now you know.

Them GM Corvair vans & cab over trucks weren't too attractive
they did have a lot of room up front, no engine cover
