Lost to us because "Locals" complained of noise!
And EPS (Allegedly?)

Funny thing:
I JUST saw a recently published book on this topic: "Lost dragstrips"?
I think a guy by the name of Tommy Lee?
Or, perhaps a newer one has just been released...

Here's a couple more sad photos of the Fremont track after Southern Pacific railway didn't renew the land lease & ground up the track, they were supposed to get $3 million from the city of Fremont, SP extorted the city wanted $9 million instead, for a new shopping center project, eventually it got built...

seems to be a lot on this list of strips ,I didn't know that there is a lot of old amusement parks too.
