Has anyone used the Essex (cut pile) with Mass mat, if so do you like it and was it easy to work with?

I know of a few people have used the cut pile ( not me ) Because they like the look.

I for one, Do not.

Essex is the carpet used in nid-late 70's Lincolns... IMO it doesn't look right in a Mopar.... I just installed some ACC loop carpet with the mass backing.... Looks great, much better than the days of them cutting it to small to maximize profit.... The carpet I took out was also ACC purchased around 1999-2000 & it barely reached from sill to sill and was about 3" shy of reaching the heater box..... This one I had to trim 5" off the length & 7" off the width.... The mass backing holds the shape that is heat pressed in better which makes the carpet fit the concours of the floor better than any of the standard carpets I've installed in the past...

Thanks. As far as looking right I agree but it's not my car and non of the car looks right LOL. We shall see what my daughter chooses. I was most interested in the mass backing.

I used mass backed loop pile in the GTX, it's pretty easy to work with. For trimming, a tin snips worked better than a utiity knife.

She likes the Datona loop carpet, I can live with that. Thanks again for the input.
