Adding a AC belt tentioner to 70 b-body????

Anyone ever try to add a tentioner to eliminte the belt wobble when the AC is on.It drives me crazy.I roached the bearings in another Alt. trying to keep them tight.I was thinking of adding one on the alt side inbetween the alt. and crank pulley.

Becareful, you can also ruin you front main bearing in the engine. You wouldn't think so, but it can be done. Make sure all the pulleys are prefectly true, in the same plane, and the accessiory bearings are perfect. It shouldn't jump, and you shouldn't have to overtighten the bletsne either.
